1. Types of Transit Insurance Offered

• Full Comprehensive Transit Insurance (FOV): Covers household furniture, electronics, crockery, appliances, cars, and two-wheelers against highway accidents, collision, fire, overturning, vehicle breakdown, flood, theft, and pilferage during transit.
• Carrier Risk Protection: Standard transport protection covering total loss resulting from vehicle accidents or structural disaster.

2. Covered Risks & Perils

• Road vehicular accidents, overturning, derailment, or collision on National/State Highways.
• Fire, lightning, explosion, or spontaneous combustion inside the container.
• Theft, snatching, or non-delivery of an entire packed carton.
• Natural calamities such as flash floods, severe inundation, bridge collapses, and earthquakes.

3. Insurance Declaration & Premium Calculation

The insurance premium is calculated as a nominal percentage (typically 1.5% to 3%) of the declared total value of your consignment. An itemized inventory packing list with declared values is prepared during survey and signed by the customer.

4. Step-by-Step Claim Procedure

• Step 1: Inspect all cartons and vehicles at the time of delivery. Note any visible outer damage or missing items on the consignee copy of the Lorry Receipt (Bilty).
• Step 2: Capture clear digital photographs or video clips of the damaged article and packing material.
• Step 3: Submit your claim within 48 hours to our claims desk with copies of the Bilty, original purchase bills (where available), and repair estimate.
• Step 4: An authorized insurance surveyor evaluates the claim. Upon survey approval, compensation is disbursed directly into your bank account.
